These patients have an increased risk of atherosclerotic CV disease and its atherothrombotic complications already in middle age. It is likely that COVID-19 further increases their cardiovascular risk, both during infection and after recovery. We advise continued use of treatment for the severe hypercholesterolaemia observed in these patients.
