Lipid network in country: functional/ in development on the basis of nationwide Lithuanian primary prevention project (LitHiR  – Lithuanian High Cardiovascular Risk primary prevention programme, started in 2006)

FH programme: on the basis of national primary prevention programme, coordinating center – Vilnius University Hospital Santariskiu Klinikos, total number of patients currently included in primary prevention programme database is 83.376 , prevalence  of patients with any type of dyslipidaemia – 89.5%; among them  – 13.5  % (11265) with any type of severe dyslipidaemia, group of people with severe dyslipidemia the prevalence of high LDL-C (≥ 6 mmol/l) was 25.1% (2827), possible familial hypercholesterolemia (LDC–C = 6.5-8.4 mmol/l and CVD anamnesis) – 3.5% (389) and frequency of definite familial hypercholesterolemia (LDL-C ≥ 8.5 mmol/l) was 0.6% (65) of the subjects
